I've been drinking smoothies every morning now for years. I've noticed that my taste for what to put in them changes with the seasons and also with what my body is calling out for nutritionally. Winter is a little rough here in Portland, with the lack of sun and abundance of rain. I woke up today feeling gray like the skies and decided to add some extra superfoods to my smoothie. I included links for you to read about each one. Also, I like to blend for a while so that the smoothie is room temperature and I am not drinking an icy drink on an icy day. Enjoy!My (current) Morning Smoothie
1 young Thai coconut (water and meat)
or
1 can coconut juice
1 tablespoon Pure Synergy
1/4 vanilla bean
or
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 tablespoon hemp protein powder
1 tablespoon Health Force Nutritionals Warrior Food
1 ripe pear
1/4 cup frozen blueberries or strawberries
1 handful of kale leaves
1 teaspoon raw honey(great information on the health benefits of raw honey)
1 tablespoon Lucuma powder (optional)
15 drops Marine Phytoplankton (optional)
Probiotic Immune Support (New Chapter brand)
pinch of sea salt
